Shibori Tie-dye Tornado Maekake Apron

A maekake apron featuring traditional Arimatsu shibori tie-dye from Nagoya. Dyed using the tatsumaki (tornado) process on No. 1 canvas, which is the heaviest grade of woven cotton.

Maekake is a kind of traditional Japanese workwear that has been adopted in the modern era. It was originally worn to prevent clothes from getting soiled, but is now more commonly used as an apron in restaurants, or as gardening attire in the West.

• Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Do not wash in warm water.
• Wash separately from whites as the dye may transfer onto other fabrics. May shrink slightly after wash due to the nature of the fabric.
