Anything

Maekake

Founded in 2000, Anything creates original maekake (traditional Japanese workwear aprons) that were first used hundreds of years ago by people working in breweries and small manufacturers.

The thick belt is meant to tighten around your waist and back bone (iliac bone) which is located near your pelvis. In this way, it helps with the standing upright position of any adults working in heavy duty manual labor, stabilizing the user’s hip and joints.

Made using indigo-dye and cotton weaving, the thick canvas functions to prevent the user from heat and also possibly any injuries as well. A traditional Mizuhiki knot on the packaging also symbolises the tying method around the waist of the maekake.
