Hakoyoshi
Kiribako
Founded in the Meiji era, Hakoyoshi has been supplying Japan with kiribako – which are wooden boxes made from Paulownia wood – for over 150 years. Some of their wooden boxes have been used in imperial palaces, including the Imperial Household Agency in Tokyo today. Since then, this traditional craftsmanship has been carried on, continuing to the 6th generation now.
