A must-have assortment for any fan of the “daruma,” this set of contemporary and classic objects is beautifully crafted by different makers in Japan. Two authentic daruma are matched with a Japanese maekake apron, steel paperweight and silver necklace, each paying homage to the traditional lucky doll. An ideal gift, each set comes in a custom-made paulownia wood kiribako box.
Made by Takasaki daruma maker Imai Daruma Naya, a traditional red daruma featuring the “fuku” good luck symbol is paired with a plain white one that you can decorate with your own personal design. The sailcloth maekake apron is a limited edition, kuro-montsuki dyed black and emblazoned with the official Imai Daruma Naya logo, and the daruma-shaped paperweight is custom-made, lost-wax cast in steel. Keep the daruma close wherever you go with the last piece of the set, a delicate silver necklace with two interchangeable inner beads — a red carnelian and white ceramic aroma diffuser ball.
